Arthur Sekula
Painting and using landscapes as my subject matter are my primary focus.
My inspiration comes from my surroundings, either nature itself or experiences
from my past and present. The pictures I paint are developed from actual places
or from my imagination. I make sketches and take photographs
then create the final product in the studio.
The subdued colors help present calmness and solitude.
My landscapes often include common objects that help the
viewer connect, relate and reflect for him or herself.
